Receiving the news you have been selected for interview is a fantastic feeling and the best news you can receive. It is important to confirm your acceptance to the invitation as soon as possible, however make sure you can commit to the schedule as broken arrangements can create the wrong impression.
At least two days prior to the interview ensure you have planned ahead, the journey route and time, the clothes you are going to wear and all importantly do 'your homework' on the company you are applying to. Know the organisation structure, key trading results and any recent PR/news items. Also it is best to have some key questions to ask the interviewer. Ensure the questions are relevant e.g. what is the training programme for new recruits? What is the company strategy and key goals for the financial year? What marketing opportunities exist to combat competitors? What activities do the company engage in to deliver exceptional customer service? Etc.
